Lisbon to Host the EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition in 2027

Lisbon has been announced as the host city of the 37th EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition, Europe’s largest event dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education. Taking place from 7 to 10 September 2027 at FIL – Lisbon International Fair, the conference will bring together more than 7.000 higher education professionals from around the world.

Under the theme “Luminous Perspectives”, the 2027 edition celebrates the diversity of ideas, experiences and cultures that enrich international higher education. Inspired by Lisbon’s unique light, the theme also reflects openness to dialogue, collaboration and the discovery of new perspectives in an everchanging global landscape.

Over four days, professionals from across the sector will take part in a programme of conferences, workshops, networking sessions and an international exhibition, creating opportunities to establish new academic, scientific and institutional partnerships.

Lisbon’s selection as the host city reflects Portugal’s growing international recognition as a destination of excellence for studying, conducting research and building international partnerships. With its long-standing history as a crossroads of cultures and knowledge, the Portuguese capital provides the ideal setting for one of the world’s leading international higher education events.
