Overview of Portuguese Higher Education’s Presence in Lima

Following successful turnouts in Mexico and Colombia, the Study & Research in Portugal delegation showcased its academic offer at Expo Estudiante / Expo Posgrados, held at the prestigious Hotel Country Club Lima, in Peru!

Key highlights from the presence in Lima:

🔹 Information Session and Bilateral Cooperation: A dedicated session was held to present the Portuguese higher education system, admission pathways, and the strengthening of bilateral relations between Portugal and Peru.

🔹 Diplomatic and European Backing: The event featured key contributions from the Ambassador of Portugal to Peru, António Barros, and the EU Representative to Peru, Emiliano Zepeda, who highlighted national academic excellence and mobility opportunities within the European space.

🔹 Active Engagement from Students and Families: The Portuguese pavilion saw high attendance from young Peruanos and families interested in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs. Direct interactions with representatives of Portuguese HEIs provided clear guidance on scholarships, application procedures, and academic life in Portugal.

🔹 Official Closing Reception: To mark the success of the mission, an official reception was hosted at the Residence of the Ambassador of Portugal, bringing together the academic delegation and local partners in a spirit of close institutional collaboration and celebration. 🥂🇵🇹
